Amplify, Seed and Wonder

As a global creative collective, we acknowledge our power, influence and impact on our people, the wider landscape our work exists within and the planet we live on. This policy formalises our commitment to safeguarding human rights for all our stakeholders.

The scope of this policy includes our employees, freelancers, suppliers, local community, clients and their audiences.

This is an extension of our responsible business policy.

International standards

As part of this policy, we formally commit to the following international standards:

- The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights

- The International Bill of Human Rights

- The ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work

Ethical trading

We ensure all suppliers and customers are compliant with all local standards and laws of their country.

We refuse to trade with any company or individual that requires to make or receive any form of inducement in order to secure a commercial transaction and will terminate any ongoing relationships if evidence is found to demonstrate this.

We enter Agreements with all suppliers which include their agreement to be bound by our Supplier Terms and Conditions and Code of Conduct (available on request). All Agreements with clients are bound by mutually agreed Service Agreements reviewed via Legal and Contractual council.

Modern Slavery and Child Labour

We strictly prohibit the use of child labour in any form, and forced or compulsory labour, including any work or service that is exacted from any person under the threat of penalty and for which the person has not offered themselves voluntarily.

We adhere to the minimum age requirements for employment as defined by national laws and international standards. We support the development and education of children and believe that they should be protected from exploitation.

We comply with all applicable anti-slavery and human trafficking laws and regulations including the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.

We refuse to trade with any company or individual that does not comply with all applicable anti-slavery and human trafficking laws and regulations.

Screening and Assessment

To ensure due diligence and adherence to this policy, we employ the following screening and assessment across all client qualification and supplier procurement:

Client screening tool

Our client screening tool is used to help us have more open, transparent conversations about new business opportunities, acting as a resource that forms part of our brief-qualification process interrogating a social and environment lens using externally verified resources and globally recognised standards including Business Human Rights Centre, Human Rights Campaign and Global Child Forum.

Client disclosure report

We are committed to sharing our climate and controversial conflicts in the form of our annual client disclosure report. Our report is built from a framework established by Futerra and discloses the industries, topics and controversial sectors within our portfolio of clients.

Supplier audit

Our supplier audit forms part of our new supplier procurement process as well as annually identifying our top suppliers by spend, to help us better understand our supply chain’s social and environmental impacts. Questions include a focus on understanding ownership, workers, policies, human rights, labour standards, living wage and accreditations.

Mitigation actions and assessment

We carry out a formal human rights assessment annually covering:

- A minimum of three most material clients or projects based on revenue

- A minimum of three most material procurement decisions based on spend

Where potential negative human rights impacts are identified related to clients or procurement decisions, a formal mitigation plan must be documented outlining:

  1. Potential risk identified

  2. Mitigation action taken

  3. Outcome and status

Governance and Accountability

The Board of Directors holds ultimate responsibility for this policy.

The Head of Responsibility and Impact is assigned accountable for this policy enforcing and overseeing all screening, assessment and mitigation action activities.
