Amplify – the marketing agency that joins the dots between people, brands and culture – has partnered with Brixton Finishing School – the creative industry disruptor aimed at finding and developing diverse, young talent - as part of the agency’s ongoing mission to connect with, enable and champion young creative talent from all walks of life.

Starting with immediate effect, Amplify will support Brixton Finishing School’s 10-week premium learning experience for 18-25s alongside its recently announced eight-week Ad-Cademy.

Amplify’s support includes creating brand experience-themed curriculum content and real-world agency experience for both courses. The partnership also provides the opportunity for ongoing mentoring through access to the agency’s talent across departments and ranks.

As the industry’s ‘Brand Experience Agency of the Decade’, Amplify will focus on developing educational content that gives students a deep dive into brand experience and all its touch points: strategy, creative, content and production.

Amplify chose to support Brixton Finishing School as part of their ongoing commitment to fuelling the agency’s New Wave programme with fresh talent. New Wave brings Amplify’s social mission to life by offering young people from different backgrounds a 12-month contract to work across the agency

spanning strategy, production, client services and creative. New Wave looks for young people with passion, potential, life experience and enthusiasm, rather than simply looking at qualifications.

In keeping with the agency’s focus on young talent, Amplify’s youth insights platform, Young Blood, will be rebooted in 2021 through the launch of an always-on youth panel and diverse, UK-representative network. The initiative will enable more opportunities for young people to gain experience and paid work through the agency, while generating fresh perspectives for Amplify to share with clients and the wider industry.

Amplify’s managing partner, Lee Avery, said: “We're delighted to support Brixton Finishing School, who continue to inspire the next generation while rising above this year’s challenges to provide opportunities at a time when face-to-face networking is limited. Helping the school give young talented working class, multicultural and neurodiverse individuals a gateway into the creative industry is very much part of Amplify’s ‘pass the baton on’ ethos and we can’t wait to help unearth the next generation of talent.”

Brixton Finishing School’s founder Ally Owen added: “Amplify are an incredible agency, doing great things to move the dial on talent and ensure there are people from all backgrounds coming into the industry. I’m so excited to see what amazing things we can achieve together. Amplify really gets that we need to get the creative industries thinking outside traditional qualifications and expectations and fostering diverse talent. It’s a win-win for all involved.”
