The Film Series

    The Film Series

Our launch film ‘escape into: the evolution of worldbuilding’ is directed by Bexy Cameron. As with much of our work, for this approach, we are drawing as much influence from culture and creative communities as we are from pioneering brands featured including Disney, Lego, McDonald’s and Pinterest.

It features 24 pioneering worldbuilders and cultural visionaries as we explore how they place audiences at the centre of their worlds. We dive into different worlds by interviewing pioneering worldbuilders who are making a difference and doing it right from Audrey Bugeja of Sneaker Freaker and author Liv Little to Jay-Ann Lopez from Black Girl Gamers and Ali Mendes of Legendary Entertainment. Whether they are local or global, to be discovered or already iconic, we believe these pioneers lead the charge and can share valuable lessons for brands beginning or already established on their worldbuilding journeys

‘escape into: the evolution of worldbuilding’ will be followed by an 8-part series deep diving into how worldbuilding operates in different spaces including film, music and fashion. To find out more please contact emma@weareamplify.com.

    • Music

From the Spice Girls to Childish Gambino: new Amplify documentary from director Bexy Cameron explores worldbuilding in music.

The first in Amplify’s series of documentaries focusing on “worldbuilding,” the episode takes a look at how artists and musical pioneers create fandoms and build audiences, ranging from the interdisciplinary masterpieces of Bjork to the zeitgeist-capturing “Girl Power” of the Spice Girls.

    • Examples of worldbuilding

worldbuilding forms the evolution of brand worlds and B2C marketing; it allows us to craft more interconnected and immersive ways to engage with audiences. The combination of emerging technologies and the continually blurred lines of channels, disciplines and mediums ensure it will only gain more traction as a fundamental framework for building brands.
