Stranger Lights

Turning the holiday season Upside Down.

Challenge

Netflix wanted to reach fans of Stranger Things across France and communicate that Season 5 has arrived during the holiday season, driving cultural noise and earned media, through disruptive real-world stunts.

Insight + Strategy

Inspired by the show’s iconic use of lights to communicate from The Upside Down, we launched a regional, immersive media stunt campaign across major cities in France.

Solution

We hijacked Christmas decorations and lights in Bordeaux, Lyon and Strasbourg, spectacularly lighting up the holiday season in a uniquely Stranger Things way.
Each installation signaled the arrival of Season 5, while celebrating unforgettable and iconic moments from past seasons.

Bordeaux

Promenade Sainte-Catherine became a walk through the evolution of Stranger Things, with five suspended illuminated arches, each bringing a season to life and ending with a final installation dedicated to Season 5.

Strasbourg

We transformed a giant Christmas tree inside the train station's main hall into the Upside Down: red and blue lights, creeping vines, decayed presents, and hidden Easter eggs, where festive magic meets eerie nostalgia.

Lyon

In partnership with the City of Lyon and Fête des Lumières, and alongside a local artist collective, we created a mysterious installation like a portal between worlds, blurring reality and fiction for one final adventure together.

One last season. One iconic universe. One last adventure.
