Challenge

Amplify was challenged to create Netflix’s launch event for their new Parisian HQ, in the presence of co-founder and CEO, Reed Hastings.

Insight

Netflix has championed the French creative community over the past few years, focusing on new talents, new genres, new series and new ways to produce. There is a significant buzz to capitalise on around the possibilities Netflix can provide in France.

Strategy

Create a concept that opens Netflix France’s new HQ in Paris with an access all areas approach. Show the openness and support for the local creative community by inviting them to come in and discover on their own terms.

Solution

Bienvenue chez Netflix France.

A two-day event, hosted by Netflix in their new Paris HQ, for a range of audiences including media, talent, policy makers, and VIP guests.

We captured a Netflix family photo (which included local talent, Reed Hastings and key Netflix stakeholders) against a striking scenic backdrop, which became the key press shot picked up on by local media.

From a bespoke gastronomic dinner by chef Christophe Saintagne, which allowed people to connect with Reed Hastings, to an afternoon of interactive panel sessions and keynotes with local talent and Netflix key stakeholders, we connected makers with those that make it happen.

The office opening showed Netflix’s support of the local creative community as participants were invited to join an evening cocktail party, which kicked-off with a special opening speech from Reed Hastings, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and France’s Minister of Culture Franck Riester.
