ChallengeAmplify were challenged to win the hearts and minds of gamers, an audience we know and love, whilst launching YouTube’s latest vertical channel and app.
InsightNo audience is more engaged, passionate and active than gamers, with a growing base of super-fans aged 8-25 – hence being a key focus for YouTube. However, all their interactions are digital.
StrategyTake the online offline to connect the most influential gaming creators with their fans, cementing YouTube as the go-to place for gamers.
YouTube Gaming Launch
Amplify took online offline at gaming Meccas Gamescom (Germany) and EGX (UK) for eight days of non-stop action. We created the YouTube Gaming Stage, and programmed a place for fans to get closer to 50 of their favourite YouTubers. In the UK that meant icons including Kwebbelkop, CamAndSeb and OpTicJ, and in Germany legends Gronkh, PietSmiet and Dner. All the action was live-streamed, racking up an impressive 30 hours of viewing.
