Honda: The Dream Factory 2011
by Evelyn Lewis
Amplify is working with Honda for the second year running in developing The Honda Dream Factory platform.
The Dream Factory is made up of group of forward-thinking, inspirational people from the worlds of science, technology, art and culture. In its inaugural year a group of over 20 individuals and collectives, named ‘Cultural Engineers,' were recruited by Amplify and invited to take part in an online campaign and collaborative exhibition that toured the UK, showcasing a range of innovations from revolutionary pieces of music and art, to life changing humanitarian projects.
This year's Cultural Engineers were selected as a result of their commitment to quality, technology, design and improvement and Amplify has teamed up with The Guardian for a 17-week media partnership, a microsite and a live collaboration to bring their stories to life. Some of the best innovators and thinkers in the UK, including Mark Stevenson, Kevin Fong and Simon Berry will be invited to collaborate with technicians to bring their ideas and visions to life at a 'Power of Minds' development weekend.
Alongside The Guardian Partnership, Amplify is also generating original content and managing the Dream Factory blog and social media channels, as well as running a lifestyle PR campaign. To view one of the Dream Factory videos from Cultural Engineer David Hieatt please see above...
